“The guy told officers he covered himself in barbecue sauce because he wanted to hide from the government.”
Oh, I wish I could make this stuff up!
We're totally free and independent. Um. Blow some stuff up.

Most of these were terrible, but this one made me laugh.
When

I’m catching an early flight home.
I know, I know!
Everyone I’ve talked to seems surprised by this decision. I realize that I must look like the biggest fool in the world right now, calling it quits and heading home.
I appreciate everyone who has suggested I stick it out, but I have my reasons and I’ve made up my mind.
I’ll be home Saturday night.
So according to WebMD, I may either be suffering from the flu or strep throat.
Fanfuckingtastic.
Budapest, Day 3
Today we went and had some hungarian food at Gerbaud Cafe, followed by visiting Hero Square and the Modern Art Museum of Budapest. All in all, it was a fascinating and tasty day.
Honestly, though, I am considering cutting my trip short. I have a sore throat and a fever that makes doing anything a monumental chore. On top of that, I’m really not getting what I was thinking I would get out of this trip. I’m truly not a sightseer and as much as I would like to spend some time alone with my thoughts here, there looks like there is little chance of that happening.
I’m tempted to return a week early and try to find my peace of mind in sunny SoCal. Am I crazy?
Budapest, Day 2
Wow, jetlag sucks even more when you have a difference of about 9 hours between you and home.
I woke up around noon and Diana and I took a little trip to Jacob’s office to bring him lunch. There is a ton of cool grafitti around here that I aim to get some snapshots of before I leave.
After lunch, we came back and I crashed while watching some nature documentary that I couldn’t understand a word of. We decided to go to a club called “E-KLUB” because they were having a foam party. A foam party is when there is a giant machine that spews soap bubbles from the ceiling into a giant, inflatable pool where everyone dances until they are soaked. It was fun, but the language barrier made it hard to even order a drink, let alone socialize!

I made my flights and have safely arrived in Budapest! Diana picked me up from the airport, where we waited for jacob who was coming back from a job interview in London (which he totally got, by the way!).
Here’s where I’m staying on a map. I’m the one right in the middle with the brown roof and the atrium.
